Deposits and refunds
How a deposit works
A deposit holds your spot. It is charged by the hauler, into the hauler's own payment account -- their business name is what you see on your statement -- and it comes off the total you owe at the end. It is not an extra fee.
If the hauler cancels, you get the deposit back in full. That is not a policy choice, it is the deal.
If you cancel
That depends on the hauler, and their policy is printed on the quote they sent you. Most give the deposit back if you cancel the day before or earlier.
The template
Cancel or reschedule any time up to the day before and your deposit is refunded in full. If we cancel, you get the deposit back either way.
Chargebacks
A deposit dispute is between the customer and the hauler, through the hauler's payment account. We hold the quote, the scope text the customer agreed to, and the photos the price was based on, and an operator can use all three as evidence.
